October 2024 Update

Friends of Ukraine,

This is our next update about the support provided in Ukraine. Yes, we are also watching the elections in the US as I think the outcome will be crucial for our country. It has been 980 (can you imagine it????) days since the hot war started and the Ukrainian society is tired. However, we keep working as we understand that we and our country will cease to exist if we give up.

I lack words to express gratitude and respect for all soldiers who are fighting. The fact no one knows when it can end and they can demobilize is one of the most difficult.

There’s great news to share. Although all of the support we provide is so important for many, this time I can definitely say that our support has SAVED LIVES. The lives of 4 people, 4 soldiers – a crew of the vehicle that we helped to protect. Life is the most precious thing we have. They have also parents and friends, and some have children and spouses. Can you imagine how important it is for them? I am so happy to tell you about it.

The kamikaze drone’s direction was changed by the electronic warfare unit mounted on the vehicle. We bought it and delivered it to the front recently (see the thank you video from the soldiers in the previous post) just about 2 weeks before the attack took place. The drone carried a considerable amount of explosives and the vehicle was still damaged. Here’s a video of it:

However, the lives of the soldiers were saved which is the most important. The vehicle has already been fixed and repainted and we helped to buy winter tires for it too:

As you remember, we collected funds to buy two night vision monoculars for one of the units of the 92nd Assault Brigade. The original devices had been burnt down along with the vehicle (the video can be seen here). The monoculars are necessary to deliver soldiers and ammunition to their positions at night. Otherwise, they are almost blind, they can become easy targets or get to the minefields as explained in this video provided by them earlier.

The monoculars were bought and delivered and the soldiers are extremely grateful for your timely support:

Here are the pictures we received from a unit of the 14th mechanized brigade that we have been supporting since the beginning of the hot war.

destruction

The location where they were stationed was hit by the russian artillery and EVERYTHING they had there burnt down. Luckily, everyone survived. The unit specializes in the repair of communication devices and electronic warfare that protects soldiers from kamikaze drones. They help to save lives. We have bought and sent them some of the key
equipment they use in their work. Here’s a thank you video for the CSUF donors:

We have also kept buying and providing the so-called bandera batteries of big capacity to be used in the trenches and other spots where electricity is hard to get. They are used to charge the important equipment.

charging stations

We have kept providing starlink units for connection, tools for building trenches, generators, tourniquets, heaters, portable beds, and other equipment: also for the units engaged in operations in Kursk and for those hunting the shaheed drones terrorize Ukraine.

thank you 22

To close this update, I will share another photo taken recently. You can see my brother-in-law who came from the front for a two-week vacation. He’s the dearest person in the world for his daughter who misses him so much. They are two weeks of happiness but bitterness too – because it’s so little.

thank you 31

You can also see Ivan, one of our Australian friends who keeps supporting Ukraine. My brother-in-law, as well as other soldiers, are very grateful to all of you and they appreciate your care. You help us keep going. Thank you.

Andriy
