APRIL-MAY 2025 UPDATE

Friends of Ukraine,

Thank you for standing with us.

I receive messages from soldiers—requests that reflect the stark conditions they face. Each one carries a deep weight, and we’re constantly forced to decide what matters most in that moment.

Here’s just one example:
A wounded veteran needs rehabilitation to return to his family and rebuild his life.
At the same time, a front-line unit needs Motorola batteries—to stay connected, coordinate their actions, stay alive, and one day return to their families too.

I choose the batteries. What would you choose?

This Easter, I received a short video. It is below. It was filmed by a soldier whose call sign is JESUS. Moments like that, however small, give us strength. They remind us to keep believing—and help to keep going.

This year, the Easter cakes we delivered to elderly and disabled members of the Volodymyr community brought warmth and a sense of celebration into their homes. Supporting them has been—and continues to be—a deeply meaningful part of our work. The cost of a cake is not high, but the feelings it brings are truly profound.

This photo came from my brother-in-law, who’s currently at the front. That’s how they “painted” their Easter eggs this year—by simply writing the color names on them with a marker: red, blue, and so on. He said he chose the one labeled “purple” and enjoyed it thoroughly. A sense of humor goes a long way out there.

This is a thank-you video and photo from our friends at the front, showing the vehicle we mentioned in our previous update—purchased with support from our friends in Australia. It’s already in action, doing its job on the front lines.

Despite everything they’re dealing with, the boys took the time to translate the message and learn it. That effort speaks volumes about how deeply grateful they are.

This is another vehicle we’ve purchased in Lithuania —this time for Dmytro from Fenix, one of the most effective drone units. It was made possible thanks to the support of our Australian friends once again.

The vehicle is already in Ukraine and is currently being serviced before it’s delivered to Dmytro. I’ll share photos or videos in the next update.

The conditions are incredibly harsh, but the soldiers do everything they can to maintain and care for the vehicles—they’re truly a matter of life and death.

This video, received recently, shows a van donated by our Polish friends at the very beginning of the full-scale war. And it’s still running!

Here’s a thank-you video for another repeater that helps amplify the drone’s signal. Alongside this, we continue to supply Starlink units and other vital equipment.

Your support is truly vital—not just for every person you see in the photos and videos above, but for many others we continue to help.

I wish we could face fewer heartbreaking decisions about who needs help the most.

Together with volunteer Tetiana Savchenko from Kharkiv province, we have brought the Painting Hope Project back to life.

I hope it can inspire more people to join us. It’s also our way to show deep gratitude for all the support you give. Take a moment to check out this post and learn more.

Love from Ukraine.

Andriy
